We've been helping Canberra break things on purpose since 2018. Locally owned, part of the Playhem family, and tucked inside Axxe in Fyshwick.
Our story
Canberra Boring? We Disagree.
We're Chris and Jesse, two Canberra locals who love creating fun, unusual experiences for people to enjoy.
It started with Riddle Room, Canberra's first escape room, and grew from there. We wanted to create the kinds of activities we'd love to do ourselves, and prove that Canberra has plenty to offer.
When we were setting up Axxe, our axe throwing venue in Fyshwick, we found ourselves with a little extra space. Rather than let it go to waste, we started thinking about what else we could put in there.
Naturally, we landed on a room where people could smash stuff.
Breakr opened alongside Axxe in November 2018, and we've been making improvements ever since. From colourful lighting and customisable music to finding new things for people to destroy, we're always looking for ways to make the experience even better.
We're proudly Canberra owned, independently operated and still having just as much fun creating these experiences as we hope people have trying them.
Breakr does waste differently
One Last Smash
At Breakr, we source unwanted plates, mugs, glasses and other breakables from local Canberra charities. These items are no longer suitable for resale, so we give them one last moment in the spotlight! We pay for everything we take, helping support local charities while keeping our smash rooms stocked with things to destroy.
